Robitics for Teens - Introduction to Python (Ages 14–18)

Workshop Summary:
This robotics course for older students dives deeper into the real-world applications of robotics and engineering. Through hands-on builds, programmable challenges, and group projects, students will learn how hardware and software interact—preparing them for more advanced STEM experiences. No prior experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Topics Covered:

  • Robotics systems and key components

  • Movement, sensing, and decision-making

  • Block-based coding and logic building

  • Applied physics: motion, force, and friction

  • Real-world robotics in industries and daily life

  • Team challenges: build-test-refine cycles

Course Objectives:

  • Provide a deeper understanding of robotics principles and design

  • Encourage analytical and systems-based thinking

  • Improve students' technical fluency through hands-on experimentation

  • Lay the groundwork for transition into coding with Python or Arduino in future courses
