JR Coding: Scratch Programming Workshop (Ages 9–13)

Workshop Summary:
This beginner-friendly robotics course introduces students ages 9–13 to coding and engineering concepts using the Edison Robot—a compact, LEGO-compatible bot packed with sensors and personality. Students will explore how robots think, move, and interact with the world through fun, hands-on challenges and creative builds. Perfect for curious minds with no prior experience!

  • Intro to robotics & sensors

  • Barcode programming and remote control

  • Block-based coding with EdBlocks

  • Basic programming logic (loops, sequences, conditions)

  • Real-world applications of robotics

  • Team-based robot challenges and problem-solving
